Northern Beaches

Untitled UntitledUntitledUntitled UntitledUntitledUntitledUntitledUntitled

A few more beach impressions.
I am trying to bring my camera out for walks here in Hamburg but the light is rare here in Winter so it will take longer to get a roll of film full. We are still waiting to get our container from Sydney until then my digital camera is locked away and all I can show you are some more impressions from Australia. I hope you don't mind. I am also working on my yearly review....hopefully it will be ready soon :) Just a few more days to go.

>< Mieke and Renilde made the wonderful ABC book which I can't wait to receive in the mail. Have a look here.

Green, red and the leaking film

I just picked up a new roll of film and these photos above are not shot on one day but somehow they are all really warm, green, red and unfortunately the camera was leaking as well on some. I like them anyway and would like to show them to you.

Happy Monday everyone.

Autumn in Sydney

Autumn in Sydney

A week of jet lag. I am glad I am slowly getting back into the normal rhythm here. Today was the most beautiful Autumn day, the light was simply incredible....

The Vivid Life festival is happening here in Sydney and the city is illuminated in the evenings and wonderful acts are playing at the Opera House. I saw Florence Welch singing with a symphonic orchestra last night and it was magical.

#1 Early on a Monday morning I went up to the roof top to watch the sun rise
#2 On a walk
#3 Coffee with toasted banana bread and ricotta
#4 Blue
#5 /6  Autumn colors

I hope you have a great weekend,
Maria

I had friends visiting me on the weekend and we were out all Saturday enjoying the sun and the blue sky.

#1 Started the day with my Saturday addiction and had a blueberry, cinnamon and pear Franzbrötchen and also the first strawberries...hmm
#2 We just walked along the neighbourhoods and stumbled over an yellow arrow and found....
#3 this beautiful studio open. These two ladies make really great shirts, dresses, scarves and curtains with some beautiful screen-prints on them..
#4 We kept on walking had ice-cream and ended up at the flea market to look at all the nice little stalls and the things they were selling...I saw this Hamburg photobook from the 70's and became a bit melancholy while looking through it...I will miss this city...
#5 I needed to take a picture of this sign of an old furniture store...

Have a wonderful week

In the evening

15° degrees today.
It was the first day out for my new shoes...
I like my Saturday ritual, Going out to the farmers market after breakfast...getting nice veggies and fruits, like apples
and my favourite pastry - ever -
I just enjoyed Spring while walking and especially the sun which was sort of flickering warmly on walls ...
Got tickets for the Broken Social Scene concert in July which I look so much forward to going to with Will...
After this I strolled via the flea market. I was a little late and it was already quiet packed with people but I managed to get this nice blue vase and a lovely calendar for my desk...I am so happy about both finds and didn't spend more than 7 Euros
On my way home I biked via the fun fair which was still closed...how weird such entertaining places seem when there isn't anyone around...
Glowing tulip in our kitchen, brightened with the evening light..

I hope you all had a good and relaxed day ....
Wish you a great & sunny sunday

Maria
