Green, red and the leaking film

I just picked up a new roll of film and these photos above are not shot on one day but somehow they are all really warm, green, red and unfortunately the camera was leaking as well on some. I like them anyway and would like to show them to you.

Happy Monday everyone.

A few randoms I found from our trip to San Francisco. What a beautiful city it is, wish I could stroll around the different neighbourhoods there and have a great meal at Bar Tartine.

You can find an interview with me on Indre's inspiring blog MiMa.

A beautiful Spring weekend it was. We made a wonderful Spring salad yesterday and I think it will be my favorite salad next to this salad which we made a lot last Summer. It was so good that I can't wait to make it again...What else did I do. We were sitting in the sun, reading newspaper, letting the time go by, I was waking up early this morning and finished a book while I could see with the bright sun coming throughout that it was a beautiful day outside. After a an afternoon walk in our neighborhood I decided to get some Spring home with me and got some poppies. I can't wait until they all show their full colors.

#1 Best Spring salad!

Did you all have a wonderful weekend? What did you do?

Take care,

On the weekend

knittingIMG_5637IMG_5639

It is a little weird to knit on a scarf when the temperature outside is over 25°C. But somehow knitting is more then getting something ready to be warm it is the process during which I relax, think about things and enjoy that the wool thread is becoming something within my hands....

I got the frankies Spaces magazine the other day. It is a really nice magazine and has many great inspiring pages, but how amazed I was when I saw that one of my favourite cafés from Hamburg is also in it. Oh Café Johanna you are a wonderful place.

Yesterday on my walk into the city I saw this cat sitting on the street, getting her back warmed by the sun. Later when I was waiting for the train, I realized this stripe of brightness across of me and thought that somehow those two images fit together...

Anyways, I wanted to show you a few of the things I made the last couple of weeks. Most of them are gifts for friends.
#1 a passport bag for a friend who is going to travel soon
#2 a really small clutch bag :)
#3 a bag for friend with a huge cd collection, you put the cd case in the bag while you are playing the cd
#4 because I like triangles ;)

Well and I also wanted to share the small pile of books and magazines I collected recently. The Brooklyn diary came yesterday, and it is such a beautiful book, full of amazing pictures and inspirations. It made me wish to go to Brooklyn right away. I am sure I will go through it many, many times.

Hope you are all well,
Maria

red - green and a ferry ride

I am really fond of ferries - I always enjoyed this bit of my trips to Copenhagen most when I lived in Hamburg or remember the many times when I was a kid and my grandmother took me with her on a little trip.
On Tuesday I went on a really small ferry trip to Balmain which is a neighbourhood here. It was 25° and actually quite humid and I think this is why I didn't take so many pictures, despite the fact that it is quiet a pretty area. I think I need to go back on a Saturday when they have their weekly markets there. Anyways, after I came back I realized that the images I took show lots of green and red :)

Have you listened to the new album from Sufjan Stevens, yet? It is so different to his older stuff but so great. We can't stop listening to it and wish he would come down under for a concert.

I also would like to share two links with you.

#1 Two of my very good friends from back home started their own little online - store at which they sell really beautiful, with love-made goodies. Have a look.

#2 I stumbled over the amazing Patchwork Project yesterday. It is a collaborative quilt project where people come together and craft quilts to raise money for a good cause. The three quilts they made are so amazing.
