Mel

This is my dear friend Mel in Tasmania earlier this year. She has a great eye for colours, patterns and takes beautiful photos, which you can see on her blog "Something from my day", I love to share a good laugh with her and miss going out for photo walks together....

Tasmania - East coast

Tasmania // Schorlemädchen Tasmania // SchorlemädchenTasmania // SchorlemädchenTasmania // SchorlemädchenTasmania // SchorlemädchenTasmania // Schorlemädchen After two days in Hobart, we drove up the East Coast of Tasmania to spend the rest of the week in Orford, in a small house close to the sea. It was a little over cast when we arrived but we should have so much sun for the rest of our time there. I love Tasmania and I am already looking forward to a trip in the future.

Hobart flowers

Hobart flowers // Schorlemädchen Hobart flowers // Schorlemädchen Hobart flowers // Schorlemädchen While being in Australia we also made sure to stay for a week in our beloved Tasmania. It is such a special place and I never get tired of it - there seems so much to explore, try and taste. This time we went with friends and after a few days in Hobart drove up the East coast to stay the remaining days in Orford. Three photos I took during our time in Hobart.

Happy weekend friends!

Warm colours

When I look at the photos from our trip to Tasmania which is now already a few weeks back  I remember the fresh and crunchy cherries we had while waiting for the ferry to bring us back, the long and bright Summer evenings, the warm colours of the landscape, the beautiful light, the sounds of the animals around us, the long board game nights....and good, good food!

I love watching movies and lately I had the pleasure to watch some good movies in the cinema. Thanks to the time before the Oscars there are some particularly good ones out there. We watched the new Coen's brother movie 'Inside Llewyn Davis' which was beautiful cinematography and music, today I saw 'Dallas Buyers Club' which was amazing (sad) and the performance of the both main actors really incredible. I also really enjoyed the new Spike Jonez movie 'Her'. The atmosphere and colours of the movie are amazing and the soundtrack with Karen O and Arcade Fire just beautiful. I could listen to this youtube compilation of some of the movies' tracks for hours. Do you have any movie recommendations, let me know?
