Flowers

UntitledFlowers last Summer
Flowers last Summer The weather here in Sydney has been so good lately. It feels rather like Spring than Winter to be honest. There are not many weeks in the year I can wear my woolen jumpers. On Saturday I went for a walk with my camera....I haven't been so good here lately with showing recent photos, I will try and become better with that. You can also always see some photos on my instagram feed.

> Today I saw Tavi at the Sydney Opera House and was really impressed by her, how eloquent and knowledgable she is, but also just when I think that this girl is 17 years old, wow
> I really enjoy the new Washed Out album, especially this song.

More

More cacti, I know. I fell in love with them even more while being in California in April. This weekend I found two old succulent books, they show some some great illustrations and photographs.
Hope you are all well!

The Huntington Gardens I

One day during our time in Los Angeles we went to the Huntington Gardens in Pasadena. We spent hours there and it was easily one of my highlights during our trip to California earlier this year. There are four different gardens and as beautiful the Japanese, Chinese and Australian gardens were the desert garden just blew me away. There were cacti, palm trees, succulents in all forms, sizes and more. I loved all the different shades of brown and green and I dream of going back to LA to spend more time there wandering around. I have quiet a few more photos of this place and will post more here or think of a little project with them. If you happen to be in LA make sure you check out these gardens, you won't regret it. You can also find some images I took in my print shop.

A few randoms I found from our trip to San Francisco. What a beautiful city it is, wish I could stroll around the different neighbourhoods there and have a great meal at Bar Tartine.

Stahl House

Stahl House LAStahl House LAStahl House LAStahl House LAStahl House LAStahl House LA

On our last day in Los Angeles some weeks back, we took the chance and had a look at the great Stahl House in the Hollywood Hills.
It was a foggy day and I could only imagine how amazing the view must be on a clear day, which we had so many of them while being there. However this grey weather just invited a bit more to dream about, how it would be to live in such an amazing space, to look at the lights of the city during the night or to swim in the pool overlooking this city trying to find its end. A magical atmosphere.

General Store - Venice

General Store VeniceGeneral Store VeniceGeneral Store VeniceGeneral Store VeniceGeneral Store VeniceGeneral Store Venice

The General Store in Venice is, like its sister shop in San Francisco, very beautiful. The selection of things which they sell there seem to fit together so perfectly There are so many corners with little plant pots standing on the ground or hanging from the ceiling, beautiful ceramics - woodfired or with beautiful patterns, selected vintage clothes, magazine..and so many other things. It is just one of these stores you want to make sure to check out when you are in the city.

We are back from our trip over a month now and it seems so far away already when I look at all these photos. Is it really June already this weekend, I wonder where are all the weeks this year went to so far.

I am so thankful to have this space here, it keeps me sometimes sane in very busy times, to just show you some photos, to read your comments to get inspired by finding new blogs...

I will show you soon some more recent photos from a hike in the Blue mountains and other things I did...I have many ideas and wish to be soon on my way to make them real so I can show you...
