Also that it is officially Autumn, Summer doesn't want to leave yet and we still got some nice Summer days here in Sydney.
I already look forward to the colder days, I guess that is the European side in me.
Here are a some photos I took around the Christmas break. I often think back to these great, relaxing time we had off from work and could spend here going from one beach to the next...

What a great trip you plan...California! As for me i'd like to teleport myself on this 1st beach. It would be just perfect.
Bekomme immer wieder Fernweh.. Und mag besonders Foto 4 & 5. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland, Lotte. :)
Nice to see the sun through your pics!If you go to SF you have to visit the haight ashbury district!
these look amazing. i really miss the sun and warmth!
Your pictures made me wish I could be on the beach right now! We still have some pretty sunny days here in Rio too!

Oh, it looks so gloriously warm - we just woke up to snow today! I'm so ready for spring.
I answered you SF question in the comment section on my blog btw :-)
i grew up in the bay area, and i can recommend some nice coffee places for your trip. sightglass (http://sightglasscoffee.com/), blue bottle (http://www.bluebottlecoffee.com/ - they have lots of locations, some nice ones are mint plaza, the one at the top of the sf museum of modern art, and the one at the ferry building where there is also a really good farmers market: http://www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com/farmers_market.php), fourbarrel (http://fourbarrelcoffee.com/), and ritual coffee (http://www.ritualroasters.com/).
i hope you have a wonderful time! and if there is anything else you specifically would like tips or information about i would be happy to help if i can :)
Ahhh, I am so pleased summer is sticking around. I know a Sydney summer is nothing compared to a European one, but still, I can't stand the cold!
Sydney is soooo beautiful!
Go to the Griffith Observatory in LA. Probably falls under the umbrella of "tourist trap" (barely) but totally worth it nonetheless, especially for those who like to take pictures. My other favourite place to photograph in Los Angeles was Broadway. Sightly dilapitated theatres and a bit of an abandoned feeling (at least midday during the week), but in a wonderful way, and plenty of great people walking about.
Also, I probably shouldn't recommend this to a German, as I can't vouch for its authenticity, but the Red Lion Tavern in East LA was a great place to grab a beer and some sausages on a sunny afternoon.
Have fun!
Aw Mazzy - these make me miss Sydney! xx
