A dinner
Thank you so much for your comments on my post about how much we like to cook.
Here are some photos of a night where we made some ottolenghi inspiried dishes for dinner.
#1 Hummus with coriander and matza
#2 The rest are
- steamed asparagus with olive oil and lemon juice, salt & pepper
- roasted carrots with all sorts of spices
- and Mejadra, an amazing dish with lots of spices, herbs, lentils and rise, fried onion and yoghurt on top (amazing, from Jerusalem/Ottolenghi)
Take time to make yourself a nice dinner

I have been making mejadra a lot too. My version has no spices, just deeply caramelised onions and plenty of salt. Good with fresh tomatoes and sumac sprinkled on top. What kind of spices did you use?
can i please come over to dinner?

It looks very yummy.

Ah your carrots made me sigh with delight.

Looks amazing and really inspires me to spend some time in the kitchen this evening instead of watching tv! Have a nice week!
Love love love it ! Your pictures are so much inspiring. By the way I have the same green dotted bowl (1st picture) - a souvenir from lovely Italy.
Enjoy your day
