Autumn colors
It is a sunny Sunday morning here in Sydney.
I picked up a new roll of film on Friday....I hope you enjoy the Autumn colors as much as I do. The light, the shapes, the browns, the changing leaves and different kinds of green. It is my favorite season....I love the the blue skies and the crisp air, wool tights and jumpers, warm soups...Before I moved here I would have never thought to live my Autumn love here, but I can :)

Food and a morning swim
It is a public holiday today here in Australia. I woke up super early, the sun just rose and beautiful light in my room. I really like the feel of a public holidays. I got ready and went out for a walk, got fresh caraway bread for a picnic later on, had a coffee at my favorite cafe and read in the new apartmento magazine. Such a good start for a day - and now off to a picnic with friends.
Here are some random photos from Easter - Fresh frittata from the pizza oven and my easter lunch plate with a piece of pumpkin which looks like a cloud (#1/2), me having a afternoon snack - radish and bread (#3), self-made swiss cheese buns (#4), the dog (#5), a beautiful, beautiful morning swim (#6).

A magazine
With all the beautiful magazines and publications around I always try to buy those magazines which I want keep and treasure to go back for inspiration or simply to look over and over the images or illustrations in them. COS publishes a wonderful magazine and the new issue is stunning, lots of black and white photographs, detailed illustrations, geographic shapes which fit perfectly to their clothes. Image four (on the left) makes me want to cut my hair shorter again....
You can find more images and articles of the new issue here.

First signs of Autumn
I didn't really realize that I took a little break here at this space. I was in Perth over Easter and enjoyed the warm sun and some days off.
Being back here in Sydney it is Autumn and I love the changing light and colors and the fact that you can wear warmer clothes....
>> This made me laugh

Melbourne TWO
A couple of more photos from my weekend in Melbourne - Pot plants on window sills (#1). Delicious green-tea muffins from Cibi my friend and I had after a day of biking and walking around (#2). The Richmond Weekender, a wonderful place with changing program. When I was there unfortunately only the cafe was open and no other stalls, but it was still very beautiful and special (#3-5). Lots and lots of brick buildings in Melbourne (#6).
On Sunday Anne, Belinda and Elizabeth had some time to catch up for a coffee at the beautiful Captains of Industry cafe ((#7-9). It is always so fascinating for me how blogs can bring people together....and how totally natural it is to catching up, a bit as if you know each but still with the respect of having never seen each other. We had a wonderful time and were sitting there for hours...
Melbourne, I hope I will be back soon...

Melbourne ONE
I went down to Melbourne to visit a friend last weekend.
Melbourne is such a great city and has so many great areas to explore, places to eat, cafes to sit in and amazing coffee to drink. I was looking forward to this weekend since weeks and had such a great time...that I already look forward to my next trip
I could stay with my friend at her beautiful place (#1). She showed be a couple of her favorite places, such as cafe Cibi at which we had an amazing Japanese breakfast on Saturday morning. (#2-6). In the back of the cafe they have an area with beautiful Japanese ceramics, kitchen tools, books and other bits and pieces for sale.
I loved the light which came through the big windows front on this Saturday morning and just the nice atmosphere of this place with its open kitchen and all the delicious food which got taken out of it. I could have spend hours there looking around.
Another favorite of mine is the Third Drawer Down shop (#7-9). Every time I come into this shop I don't know where to look first. They have such a great collections of magazines, small/big/design-ey things there....So worth to check out.
Happy first of April!
