A city bush walk II
The other day I was showing you here some photos from a city bush walk with friends. Just an easy walk along the water within Sydney. I have done this walk now a couple of times and the views over the water, the plants on the way and also animals you can spot here and there make this city walk so special.

Mina-no-ie - A cafe in Melbourne
Cafe Mina-no-ie is one of these places I could spend all day. On our trip to Melbourne we went one morning for breakfast. We just sat there with the beautiful light coming through the big windows, the conversations here and there, watched how the staff prepared the food in the open kitchen and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. I had a delicious toasted piece of fruit toast with ricotta, honey & nutmag and some green tea.
I had already taken some photos of this place a few years back but now they got a wonderful corner with magazines and zines and Cecilia Fox is showing some pots in the most wonderful way.
Go and check it out when you happen to be in Melbourne.
> Have a look at Trixi's wonderful Copenhagen photos and Mel's sunrise in Sydney. I am always amazed how much inspiration and a feeling of happiness photographs can give me.

Mr Kitly in Melbourne
After going up the stairs of this house in Brunswick you enter an apartment which contains the most wonderful shop. Mr Kitly has been a long-time favourite of mine and whenever I am in Melbourne I am trying to visit, look at the beautiful selection of things and plants standing around in all the many shelves. There are lots of pieces made by local artists but you can also feel the connection of the shop to Japan in a lot of the pieces they sell. Everything is so well selected and just little pieces of art themselves. If you go to Melbourne, do make sure this shop is on your list of places to see!
Have a wonderful weekend.

A stormy sea
When my sister and her friend visited us a few weeks back the weather was quite rainy and the sky was so grey that it was hard to imagine how blue and without any clouds it was just a week before they arrived. Nevertheless we decided to go to the sea, as no matter which weather, I am always fascinated by the power of it and often stand there staring out and letting my thoughts drift.
So we went, the waves were high and the water not blue but white from hitting the shore over and over again. We stood there for minutes, just listening to the sound and watching the amounts of water moving, how it was forming itself to big waves & collapsing in itself over and over and over again.
It was beautiful!
