A summer weekend

Farmers Market
Purple
Swim
...
us
Sydney
bats all over the city

Hi everyone, how is your weekend going.
It is Sunday evening here in Sydney and I just look at the pictures I took the last couple of days. It was a warm and sunny weekend and ...
#1 we went to the farmers market to get the first fresh basil of the season to make fresh pesto this summer.
#2 I see those beautiful purple trees everywhere. They smell so good too.
#3-5 We grabbed our towels and magazines and enjoyed the Saturday afternoon sitting in the shade, reading close to the water
#6-8 We went on the rooftop of a friends house and were surprised by the amazing view and the many bats we saw
I am about to get christmas presents ready to send them over to Germany. I think I have never written christmas cards and wrapped gifts earlier.

I would love to send you all some sun....

Maria

P.S. I can't believe the tickets for Sufjan Stevens in January are already sold out. If anyone has an idea (apart from ebay) how I can get my hands on tickets, please let me know..

Whaou! I especially love the blossom of jacarandas(the purple trees). It reminds me my tropical childhood in Réunion island. And you're lucky to enjoy the great pool at Double Bay! If you can, go to Shark Bay beach, it's amazing! Despite the name, it's safe!

Oooo jakarandas, I adore them. They used to remind me of Japanese cherry blossoms when I was living in melbourne.
Oh I miss Australia, I miss lively warm weather! Hope you enjoy every bit of it!!! ;)

you get me more and more excited to come home to sydney with these pictures. the beautiful purple trees are called jacaranda trees and all those bats are flying from the botanical gardens to centennial park. they do it each evening. two things i love about sydney!

Deine fotos sind ganz toll! Haha und mein Deutsch ist sehr schlecht! Where was the farmers market? I can`t seem to find basil in big bunches here. Only in those little pots. I have to buy about 4 of them just to make enough pesto for all of us!
xoxo
oh, i miss jacaranda trees.

Very pretty, that blossoming purple tree especially. Your out-door market looks so warm and fun--it is literally snowing where I live as I type this, so it is nice to see pictures of your warmer home! ;)

Our weatherman predicted snow this weekend in Belgium. I am so not ready for that haha!
Yes The National was so so so good! I think I almost cryed from joy, really! I'm listening non stop.
