Of a light house and the view around it, a cottage on empty fields, a mail box family, stairs to get a view over the neck, a wonderful sunset and waiting for the ferry to leave this wonderful place called Bruny Island.

Some of the last photos of Tasmania. I hope you enjoyed them.

Our second walk went through beautiful bushland in the Western part of Bruny Island. I was collecting some of the natives flower which we saw growing on the side on our way. After passing all sorts of bushes, fern, grasses and trees in wonderful colours we reached the water, it was crystal clear and so inviting so we didn't think long and just jumped into the water for a quick swim, oh it was cold but so worth it.

I was also wondering if anyone of you have some great tips for the West Coat in the US.
I am going to spend some time in LA, San Fran and around the Big Sur and I am currently researching some good places to go to and also great accommodations. If anyone of you has a great tip, please let me know.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

Tasmania Bruny Island On Saturday we went on a 3h hike, up and down through a forest with beautiful trees and bushes of which most still seem very foreign to me. It felt so good to be out of the city, breathe the fresh air. I wish we could go down to Tasmania a lot more often. This is one of my favourite photos of the hike. Have a great Friday everyone, Maria

The weather was constantly changing while we were in Tasmania. In the mornings it was often cloudy and you could tell that the sun was hiding behind all the clouds as there was this still this magical light coming through them. Here are some photos of our 3h hike we did on the Saturday.

Thanks for all your comments on my last post. There are many more photos to come.

Tasmania

Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania Tasmania

Tasmania is a jewel and I fell in love with this island when we first went in November 2011. Back then we went on a day trip to Bruny Island which is an island south of Hobart. As we liked it so much there we decided to stay a whole long weekend on this island this time.
We stayed in a little cottage close to the water in the middle of nowhere, it was so quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed it so much. It was one of the four most relaxing days I had a in a long time. I read two books, ate fantastic food, hiked up and down hills, through the beautiful bush landscape, collected native Australian flowers, went for evening swims, beach walks, spoke to locals and just had the most fantastic time there.
The nature in Tasmania is so incredible beautiful. On our hikes or driving around the island I adored the many colours of bushes, flowers, grass and  form of trees.
I took lots of photos and I hope you are ready for a few posts about this trip :)
