I just stumpled over a few pictures I took with my Diana+ when I was in Australia some time ago...

I took them while I was a few days in Adelaide and the Barossa Valley...I am in love

with giraffes ever since..such lovely, delicate and beautiful animals... the way they move, turn around or look at you..I was amazed and I remember standing there at the zoo and watching them and thinking this...

Oh and you can even find me in one of the pictures : )

The new spot

I was wondering today: when was the last time I have actually seen the sun.

It has been a while...and I miss it and its shadows and warmness. In the meanwhile I arrange myself with the grey sky...

I was moving around in the flat a bit lately and put the table in front of a window.

I love sitting there...looking outside, thinking, reading, or writing things down...

The other day in the morning after it was snowing the whole night I switched off the lights and enjoyed the brightness, snow brings with it..the room was glowing a tiny bit in a blue-ish tone..it was so quiet too and my table was so inviting to sit there and look outside...and take this picture...

little sewing project III

A few weeks ago I did some more little sewing projects. A tote bag for a friends birthday and a few key rings for Christmas...It's great to make little presents by myself and see how people like it...

I also have been on a little 'field trip' to my local fabric supplier "Frau Tulpe" I got a nice red cord fabric and this lovely one. I hope I find the time on the weekend to sew a nice cushion for my desk chair.

Warm Wrists

After months of looking at the lovely wrist worms from the talented Sandra, I couldn't resist any longer and gave myself a little treat and got a pair.

I was so excited when I opened my mailbox after breakfast this morning and found a little package in there, my address beautifully handwritten on it.

They are so soft and you can really tell -made with love.

Tack Sandra, they are beautiful. It will be hard to take them off later on when I go to bed.

Just a few days old is this year and already fills its chapters.

A few pictures from my last days...the first days in the new year...

It got pretty cold again here in Hamburg, -7° last evening and it was also snowing again.

On a little walk I saw this ice-cream drawn on a wall and I thought how many months it might take until I order my first ice-cream of the year....

I had a good coffee and a lovely mini tartlet at this nice place and got a pot hyacinths. I look forward to watching it growing....

I baked two cakes for a little coffee with friends for this afternoon. The beetroot-chocolate cake with creme fraiche and poppy seets I was talking about the other day and a nice lemon cake.
