Early morning by the sea
Last Saturday we woke up early & got up straight away, put on our swimming stuff, brushed our teeth and left the house with wild hair and towels underneath our arms to go for a swim. We don't have a car but have signed up for one of these care sharing things a few weeks back and it is so nice to have a bit more flexibility and to being able to go for a swim just like that. It was early and a cloudy yet a warm Saturday morning. We got a paper for Will on the way and I brought my camera with me. We were sitting by the pool for a little while reading and watching the sea and a group of elderly men and women while they went for their morning swim ...There were not so many people there yet and it was so quiet and peaceful and such a nice mood...
It is officially Autumn but the days are still quite warm and the ocean is still 'carrying' some of the heat of the last weeks of Summer in it so we are trying to go for a few more swims before it gets to cold. I love the feeling of going slowly into the water and to feel the fresh salty sea water all over me when I (eventually) dive in.
We have been to this ocean pool so many times during the year and it is different ever single time we go. It never gets boring to see how much joy it gives people to swim there.

Warm colours
When I look at the photos from our trip to Tasmania which is now already a few weeks back I remember the fresh and crunchy cherries we had while waiting for the ferry to bring us back, the long and bright Summer evenings, the warm colours of the landscape, the beautiful light, the sounds of the animals around us, the long board game nights....and good, good food!

Right now
Right now (as I write this) must be my favourite time of the whole week.
It is Friday early evening, I just came home from work after a long week. Will is on his way home too and soon I will hear the keys at the front door and he will come in, also happy that the weekend just started. We will sit on the couch and chat about the day and week before we are going to make some dinner and later maybe read on the couch.
It is this time of the end of the week which feels like a mini new years eve to me. Like something is behind me and there are a few days off before something new will start.
It rained a little on my way home and its a bit cloudy outside. I have not many plans for the weekend which feels so good. Maybe just watch a movie, get the sewing machine out again and have some good chats with friends and that will make me happy.
I wish you all a good one.

Sydney Summer
Oh Sydney Summer you are the best. Long blue-sky-days and warm nights with open windows, watermelon fingers, salty skin, drying beach towels, sandy floorboards and bathrooms, freckles on my nose, cooling ocean swims, long shades on the streets and houses, mango for breakfast lunch and dinner, happy faces, bay swims, reading in the shade, dripping ice creams......and so much more
