leaves

Untitled

It is wet and grey outside since days and I can tell how it must feel for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere when we jump into the sea in our Summer while tree lose their leaves or snow is covering the streets over there.
I talk to good friends back home which tell me about long evening chats on the balcony, picnic in parks, fresh pesto for dinner, bike tours, summer rain...and I just thought of two moments I showed here on the blog before ....and these photos help me to be a bit closer...moment 1 and moment 2

I do like the quiet time of Autumn and Winter, when soups and stews are simmering on the stove, I am covered in wool clothes (also happen to wear wool hats inside the apartment) things seem to calm down and my body needs more rest and is getting ready for some time of hibernation....

Hugging you warmly!

Thank you so much for your sweet words a while back in your email.

You are right, it is busy times here traveling and seeing every possible corner and turn of the summer, and I will write to you soon. But only to hear how beautiful and wonderful the autumn is there.

I'm covered in woollens too, there's snow on the mountain in Hobart. Crazy.

Beautiful image and sentiment. While I'm currently grumbling a little about the summer heat here in New England (I moved from Scotland where it's MUCH colder), it's good to be reminded that the seasons pass so quickly - before long I'll be switching my bathing suit for my woolens too!

Liebe Maria, wir haben auch wieder den Tee rausgeholt und sitzen hier frierend zu Hause. Sind euch also gerade ganz nah! Seit ich dich kenne, muss ich beim Gedanken an den Herbst auch immer an dich denken. Schön :)

In Portugal it's really really hot,it's almost impossible for me to engage in any kind of physical activity or even thing but i will always be a summer baby and although i love the romantic idea of Autumn ad Winter i still prefer all the heat :)

*great pictures,as always*
