leaves

Untitled

It is wet and grey outside since days and I can tell how it must feel for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere when we jump into the sea in our Summer while tree lose their leaves or snow is covering the streets over there.
I talk to good friends back home which tell me about long evening chats on the balcony, picnic in parks, fresh pesto for dinner, bike tours, summer rain...and I just thought of two moments I showed here on the blog before ....and these photos help me to be a bit closer...moment 1 and moment 2

I do like the quiet time of Autumn and Winter, when soups and stews are simmering on the stove, I am covered in wool clothes (also happen to wear wool hats inside the apartment) things seem to calm down and my body needs more rest and is getting ready for some time of hibernation....

A weekend away from the bubble, packed with books, good food, hiking boots and wool hats. We went for a great hike on Saturday. Down into the the trees and bushes, along waterfalls and small pathes. It was one of these sunny and steel-blue but still chilly Autumn days we had here.

I love how the colours turned out in these photographs, especially the last one in which the colours of the horizon hits the mountains and all the different shades of blue sky.

On the Sunday of my Melbourne visit, I went to the beautiful Heide Museum with some friends. Heide is only a 20 minute drive outside of the city. If you happen to be in Melbourne, I can highly recommend going, it is a wonderful museum and they also have a great garden right next to it - in which I took a few photos while trying not to get into the rain.

Have a great weekend.

The other week I was in Melbourne and visited two wonderful places. One inside and one outside.

One of them was Elizabeth's beautiful apartment into which she moved not a long while ago. I remember the late afternoon so vividly. She invited me over for tea and we had a nice chat sitting by the long wooden table which stands in the middle of the beautiful apartment she works in and shares with her husband.
Their apartment is so beautiful with a whole front of windows I can only imagine who bright the apartment would be on a sunny morning. Also in the apartment is Elizabeth's studio which is where all her knitting and other design  magic happens.

If you haven't seen it. Elizabeth just updated her shop with some wonderful, handmade pieces.

Have a look at her shop here.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. The light was getting less while I was there but you can still see the cozyness and beauty of the space
