Mount Cook / New Zealand

We spent one foggy day and a cold night at the highest Mountain in New Zealand - Mt Cook.

The air was so crisp and I liked seeing the mountain coated in fog and the colour schemes of grey, green and brown. Such a magical place!

On on of our days in Queenstown we went for another beautiful hike (Ben Lommond Summit).

We were climbing up the hills for a few hours, got rid of layers of close with every hour, mountain goats crossed our way and we adored the colours of the grass and bushes and the views which were simply breathtakingly beautiful.

I love the satisfaying feeling of a nice long hike and it reminded me to the time when I went to summer camps close to the alps and we'd go for long walks and hikes back then as well.

Happy weekend everyone!

New Zealand I

New Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part INew Zealand Part I

It's already November and didn't have time yet to show you some photos of our trip to New Zealand early October.

It actually don't know why we haven't done this trip a lot earlier as it only takes 3h to fly from Sydney to New Zealand and this country is just so breathtakingly beautiful.

Let me take you on a trip over the next couple of days and show you a few moments of our trip. When I look at the photos I feel like I can breeze in the fresh air of this magical place. We really did have a great time and also that we only spent 10 days there we saw so much and our eyes were glowing as this country is just so beautiful.
The photos are not in a chronological order and the photos above are from a hike (Mt John Summit) at Lake Tekapo. It was stunningly beautiful and we were surprised that on the top of the mountain was a wonderful little cafe with great coffee and cake.

On a Saturday

back from the marketUntitledLunchUntitled

I love Saturdays and our market visits. At the moment I get particularly excited as all the summer fruits and vegetables are slowly getting back to them. Four photos from a Saturday, of things we bought at the markets, one of my favourite lunches and the couch on which I love to read in the afternoons....

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Random

UntitledBlack Star Bakery - Sydney

The last roll of film I took is full of random little shots.
I remember, that it took my quiet long to get the roll full and now when I look through the photos from different days and moments, it is so nice to think back to all of them. These two where taken on a Saturday when we went to Newtown to have a coffee at the Black Star Bakery, an amazing little cafe which makes super tasty pastries. After we got our sugar kick we went for a long walk around the neighbourhood, this is when I took the other photo. Yes, love often is the answer :)

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Cooling

cooling cake

A cooling cake I made for a friend on our window sill on a Saturday afternoon in Winter. The tree you see is now full with green leaves so green that our kitchen sometimes shimmers in green light. I hope I can take a proof photo for you soon. I am sitting between half packed bags. I can't wait to go to New Zealand tomorrow.
