Flowers

The weather here in Sydney has been so good lately. It feels rather like Spring than Winter to be honest. There are not many weeks in the year I can wear my woolen jumpers. On Saturday I went for a walk with my camera....I haven't been so good here lately with showing recent photos, I will try and become better with that. You can also always see some photos on my instagram feed.

> Today I saw Tavi at the Sydney Opera House and was really impressed by her, how eloquent and knowledgable she is, but also just when I think that this girl is 17 years old, wow

More cacti, I know. I fell in love with them even more while being in California in April. This weekend I found two old succulent books, they show some some great illustrations and photographs.

A few images from a trip to Perth in February. It seem so long ago.
This year is really running by it seems. I am really looking forward to the next few months though. My sister is going to visit which I am very excited about and we are also going to go to New Zealand for a round trip on the South Islands. Let me know if you have any must do and see tips.

Last Thursday, it was three years that I came to Sydney. Packed with two suitcases of clothes, hope and a healthy portion of fear I landed in this big city of beaches and sun, not knowing what really to expect.
When I look at the photos of my first weeks I see many things and moments which seemed so new and foreign to me back then, things which are now so familiar and belong to my life here. Sydney is a beautiful city and I feel so lucky that I get to live some years of my life here.

Three years later, I bump into friends in cafes or on the street, have favourite streets to go for walks or spots to enjoy the water, enjoy the parks, palm trees, native flowers and the differences of the neighbourhoods, the fresh food and coffee... trying to not take the beauty of this place for granted.
