On Sunday I realized that today is the second birthday of Schorlemaedchen.

Yes, I know two years, really?! - Two years seem like such a short time but when I think of all the big and small moments which happened and how many images and lines I have shared on this space here it seems as if this little space here exists a lot longer ...

Like last year I would like to give something away. I am not sure yet what it will be but I will put together a nice surprise for the lovely winner. Just leave a comment below, I will draw and announce the lucky winner next week.

Thank you so much for coming by, for leaving a comment and saying 'hi'.

Is there anything you enjoyed the most in the last two years?

knit in Spring

resting pears
knitted socks
rhubarb stew

Some calm images from an old film roll.
# Resting pears before I cooked them in orange juice
# My grandmother made knitted socks for me, a shame it will be soon too hot to wear them
# We made strawberry/rhubarb compote yesterday to top our breakfast with it

I had the camera around my neck today after having blood-orange juice with a friend. It was a nice long walk and soon I will show you what a sunny and pretty day it was here today.

>> These images make me pretty excited for our trip to Tasmania next month
>< The new M83 album will be out soon, you can already listen into it here. I think it is pretty amazing!
<< Next time I am in Melbourne, I would like to stop by this beautiful looking shop

from a different perspective

On a rainy day

On a rainy day

On a rainy day I sit on the couch, knitting, drinking tea and taking a couple of pictures of everything around me while listening to George Harrisson.
Rainy days can be the best days.

>> I stumbled over this beautiful blog on the weekend
> Love Nicole's project here. I can only imagine how beautiful the result will look like
>> I adore the work of these two ladies from Melbourne. I am glad I bought a pair of their earrings at the Finders Keepers market last year

stay hungry - stay foolish

apple crown

Three simple things I like to eat lately

> a pumpernickel bread with fresh radishes and cucumber - this reminds me so much of home
>> the best blood oranges from the farmers markets
>>> pink ladies wearing crowns -

What food do you enjoy lately?

Thanks so much for the songs you sent through - here is one I really like to listen to.

Me

We are having a long weekend here in Sydney and let me tell you it is wonderful to have lots of time to spend for things you wanted to do in a long time.
We also made it to the great farmers market in Prymont which takes place every first Saturday of the month.

#1 The weather is a bit funny here lately and can't decide if it should be sunny or windy
#2/3 We got great veggies and herbs for beautiful dinners
#4/5 Rested with a great coffee from Single Origin stall
#6 Took the ferry to Balmain
#7 I got a beautiful waratah which is a typically Australian flower.

I hope you are having a great start into the week,

Maria

These are the last images from the roll I shot two weeks ago. I was really happy how they turned out and I am glad I can share all these nice moments with you.
So many of you asked about the raincoat I got. I don't have an image of me wearing it but found this image here.

Do you have some music recommendations for me?

I have this one for you...

the last weekends

Yellow
Light
to the stairs
Weekend coffee
dots
Roots
Botanic Gardens

It was raining all day today. But you know, I like such days when you wake up because of the rain outside, read a book and drink tea in bed. I got my sewing machine ready after breakfast to sew a couple of things while listening to music.
I was also quiet happy that I could wear the raincoat I bought last weekend after I went back home from the beach and when it was approximately 30 degrees :) It was 70% off and from Marimekko and I thought "oh my it will probably take me a year until I will be able to wear it", but well, just needed to wait one week :)

Here are a couple of more images from the last two weekends.

Thanks so much for your comments on my last post (the film I usually use is a Kodak 200)
