I loved this Friday..

Waking up and the sun is shining...
Coming back early from work in the afternoon..
Going out with a very good friend to a nice coffee place around the corner...
Coming back into a sunny flat..
Smiling about some sun on a "rainy pillow"...
Reading in the new CUT magazine...It is such a great combination of
crafting, inspiration for little sewing projects, fashion and little stories and interviews about crafter or designer, like this lady. They even have sewing patterns and step by step manuals and many other do-it-yourself-ideas in it...
It is made with love and you can see and feel this on every single page...

A good Friday...I hope you also had a good start into the weekend..
What are you planning to do on this (Spring-y) weekend??

Have a wonderful weekend everyone...

The shadows are back

The perfect cloud
Biking home in the Spring sun
Blue Sky
Here too
They are just back
The shades are back
The shades are back
The shades are back

What a beautiful day it was yesterday.
When I was riding back from work I just loved the sky, the sun, 16° degrees....Oh Spring, you're back...we all
missed you here a lot...
When I came into our apartment I realized the shadows are back, too...and how beautiful they are...I love having them back : )

I am also still happy because of those two young Swedish girls I saw last night. Such great voices..

Waiting
I am back since a couple of days and feel a bit like someone beamed me back into my usual everyday life like nothing has happened...It is surprising when you see that the wheel of work does not change at all. I mean I know I have has just been away for three weeks but I still think it is weird when you realize how things you do, see, enjoy could change you within such a time...

I carry so many precious moments and memories in me that I think I will live for a while in my little bubble, still breathing the fresh sea breeze in my mind, going for a swim before breakfast, feeling the sun on my skin, just being around the person I love..

Thank you all so much for your nice comments on my posts during my time there. I was also so great to get comments from a few people from Australia who read my blog and I didn't know about yet...

Here are a few pictures from my last week.

Enjoying the wonderful light....
Catching up with lovely friends and spending the day at the beach
Making curry for a curry night
Picking up the teapots after their last burning, They turned out so great..I love them both
Having my first hot cross bun, which you eat for Easter there
Spending time
Eating the best fruits for breakfast....
Waiting...

Stay

Melbourne is a great city. It has quiet an European touch with its laneways and trams and you can get great coffee and food at the many great cafes and restaurants there. I had just two days to explore the city but thanks to the many tips I got they helped me to find some nice places.

#1 Melbourne and its trams
#2 Chapel Street Bazaar in Prahran is the place to find anything you missed out to buy one at fleamarket..they have really everything, vintage jewellery, clothes, ceramic, furniture....
#3 Breakfast at Arcadia in Fitzroy. Muesli w. berries and yoghurt
#4 One of the vintage stores in Fitzroy. Around Brunswick/Gertrude/Swanston/George Street there are so many tiny stores and cafe. Great to spend time there. Thanks for the tip Christine :)
#5/6 We had dinner at Movida Next Door. Amazing tapas and try their sheep milk cheesecake with strawberries!
#7 Oh I am in love with the Australian skies
#8 At the Ron Mueck exhibition which was great
#9 Impressive sculptures
#10 The two old ladies were my favourite
#11 Just STAY

Hope you are all well

It is getting Autumn here in Australia, which is weird to imagine for a European girl as the temperatures are still so high that it could be easily Summer. And also weird because we had this long and tough Winter this year so is good that it will become Spring when I am back to the Northern Hemisphere next week.

We have been to Sydney and Melbourne last week and it has been great. Two beautiful cities which were so much fun to explore.
I was enjoying the sun, the walks through Sydney and especially enjoyed the houses and fences in Surry Hills which you can tell on the pictures I took..There are so many nice places you could have good food and coffee at, like the Bourke Street Bakery which seems to be an institution in Sydney or Kawa Cafe on Crown Street for a nice relaxed coffee while the afternoon sun is shining.

We also catched up with friends and had an amazing dinner at Din Tai Fung. Their dumplings are incredibly good and it is a must to go when you are in Sydney.

I hope you all are having a great Sunday...I will post a few images from the great time we had in Melbourne in a couple of days.
