.. And while we have been at the Prada Foundation we also made sure to stop by Bar Luce which was designed by Wes Anderson and felt like we are actually sitting in one of his film sets.

One rainy day during our stay at Lake Come we drove up to Milan, which is only a short ride away, to check out the Prada Foundation (and Wes Anderson's Bar Luce).
We didn't have much time to check out all exhibitions but really liked the different styles of the buildings and how spacious they are.

Merano - Crossing

Meran / South Tyrol / Schorlemädchen

We walked by this street every day a few times on our way into the centre of Meran. I always wanted to take a photo without a car or anyone crossing and to just focus on the stripes of street crossing and how they are seen in the street mirror and the shadow play of the sun. Well, on our last day I was finally able to take it and I am glad I waited.
I have taken a few photos where I thought it was worth the wait (like at the Getty in LA here). As much as I love having people in a photo I equally love to just take a photo of a scene itself without anyone in it. I hope you know what I try to say  :)

Hope you enjoy it, too.

Meran - South Tyrol III

Today was a great first day of Autumn, with a blue sky and the sun shining. The leaves are slowly changing their colour and the first chestnuts are covering our street. I love to hold them in my hand when they just left their 'shell'. Matilda is almost seven months old and it is learning new things every day (it seems) and it is almost a year that we moved back from Australia.

Here are a few more photos from our time in Meran, South Tyrol.

Please check out Ryan Adams cover of Taylor Swifts 1989 album. It is so beautiful. I can't stop listening to it.

Meran - South Tyrol I

South Tyrol / Meran // SchorlemädchenSouth Tyrol / Meran // SchorlemädchenSouth Tyrol / Meran // Schorlemädchen On our way to Lake Como we stopped in Meran, South Tyrol to spend a few days which is right between Austria and Italy which is why most of the people there speak German and Italian. I must have used a super old film and some got a bit of a funny tone, but I guess that is what you can get with using film :) On other news, I got a new AE-1 at the flea market today for 25EUR, lucky me!

Mountains

South Tyrol // SchorlemädchenSouth Tyrol // Schorlemädchen

I really enjoy being surrounded by mountains, it brings back so many memories from my childhood when I spent some weeks in summer camps climbing up mountains and swimming in icy cold mountain lakes.
On our way to Lake Como we stayed for a few days in Meran in South Tyrol. The drive there from Munich was so stunning and we had to stop every now and then to enjoy the marvelous views and to breathe in the fresh air.
